I am continuing my spotlight on classical arias and arranging them for the nylon guitar. I have been playing this aria for a while but in a different key and without much detail so I decided to try a more detailed and in depth version in the original key of D major. The second chord is very expressive (D aug) with the #5  note creating a great sense of tension (F#). Then to creat a build I add a tremolo and reargued feel. You will need to tune down to Drop D tuning as with Habanera.

“Nessun Dorma” is a powerful tenor aria from Puccini’s opera Turandot, sung by the character Calaf. In it, he declares that no one shall sleep until the princess learns his name—but he is confident she won’t, and that he will win her love. The aria ends triumphantly with the famous line, “Vincerò!” (“I will win!”).
