“My One and Only Love” is a romantic ballad composed by Guy Wood with lyrics by Robert Mellin, first published in 1952. It’s known for its rich, lyrical melody and has become a jazz standard, famously recorded by artists like John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Sting. Its slow tempo and lush harmonies make it a favourite for intimate vocal and instrumental interpretations.

I have kept the same key of C major as the chords in this key work quite well with lots of open strings and harmonics. I have used a variety of chords and arpeggios to blend in with the melody. There is also room for personal interpretation too.
