The Prayer – Guitar Arrangement

Here is my latest arrangement, this is the song The Prayer made famous by Celine Dion and Andrea Boccelli. The Prayer was written by David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager, with Italian lyrics adapted by Alberto Testa and Tony Renis, and it was originally recorded for a 1998 animated film called Quest for Camelot. Dion did the English solo version, Bocelli did the Italian solo version, and then they mashed them together into the duet everyone knows. It won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song and got nominated for an Oscar and a Grammy. At the Grammy rehearsal Bocelli couldn’t make it, so Foster pulled in some unknown 17-year-old kid to sing with Celine. That kid was Josh Groban.
