Serenade

For this piece, you will need to use a free stroke technique. Notice that each bar has the same three notes, these are actually chords in disguise played as an arpeggio. So you should keep all left hand fingers down for the whole bar and play the right hand arpeggio pattern: p – i – m – i (thumb – index – middle – index) rather than just playing one note at a time. The chords that are being used are C – G7 – Am – G and we play them as 3 string chords, you will learn the full versions of these chords later on.
